Home – Made Wooden Photo Frames Are More Valuable

Are you fed up of buying photo frames for yourself from the market? No doubt, the market makes a wide range of photo frames available to those who search for them. But still, most of the people may desire to opt for something else when it comes to buying for someone else or for themselves a picture frame. Unimaginably beautiful are the black photo frames that are available in the market, buying which will give a unique feeling to both the buyers and the recipients. However, if you desire to get right-size frames in the market and you don't get it over there, you can prepare the wooden photo frames yourself at home.

A home-made item always carries more value than the pieces bought from the market. Thus, whether you like to keep it with yourself or offer to someone else, it would hold much importance in both of yours life. You can not only prepare the wooden photo frames for personal purposes, but you can also sell them in the market as most of the shopkeepers would prefer buying them, if they are reasonable in rates. If you desire to boycott the frames in the market, here are some steps that you can follow to prepare wooden photo frames yourself at home:

  • As you think of making the wooden photo frames, it is obvious that you have a picture in your mind about how would it look like. Determine the exact dimensions for the frame. For doing so, however, using a mat is advisable and not the real picture.

  • To get the proper shape for the wooden photo frames, it is necessary to have a picture frame moulding or a lumber for the frames. You can buy it from the framing shops or art and craft shops and also in local shops that sell home improvement items as most of the frame manufacturers use it for the purpose.

  • To make the wooden photo frames of perfect size, measure the width of the frame and multiply it with 8 to determine what the length of theframe should be. Count the total inches and divide it by 12 as most of the frames are sold in the market by the foot. Based on this foot by foot measurement, buy faming materials. In fact, buying a slightly more mount of material is recommended to deal with cutting errors.

  • Handsaw should be used for cutting the frames into four pieces based on the sizes already determined. Each of the frame pieces should be the determined length plus twice the width of the wood. This additional cut is done for metered corners.

  • Cut the corners of the frames.

  • Use the glue to paste all the four corner sections effectively to the wooden photo frames and allow clamps.

  • Take two V nails and attach them to the frame corners with a hammer.

  • Keep the clamps aside and dry the frame overnight. If any sanding is desired, do it after the wooden photo frames get dried completely.

  • Apply hanging mechanism to the frame. However, colouring the frame in sober black will make them the elegant black photo frames .
