Adidas was founded by Adi Dasslerand and his brother Rudolf Dassler in 1924. Both brothers wanted to get a logo design for their company but ended up creating Adidas' first logo. They kicked off their brand identity with a three striped design in 1967. At that time, Adidas logo was embossed on shoes only. But later on in 1971 they altered it to a Trefoil logo. Afterward, it underwent a merger with Salomon, which called for a combination logo containing blue color for Adidas and red for Salomon. But soon after, Adidas simplified its logo in 2005 for clarity of identity.
